Check and Adjust Tire Pressure

CHECK & ADJUST TIRE PRESSURE IN 5 EASY STEPS

    Tires are often the most neglected part of your car. Visit a gas station today and give your tires a little love by checking you tire pressure! Many gas stations offer free or low-cost air compressors to top up the air in your tires.

  1. Determine your operating air pressure by reviewing your owners manual or checking the sticker on the inside of the drivers side doorjamb.

  2. Remove the cap from the tire air valve and place it somewhere safe.
  3. Firmly press the rounded end of a tire pressure gauge until you hear air being released. That meter displays the air pressure in your tire.

  4. To add air, use the air compressor hose to fill the tire.To release air, use the point on the back of the air pressure gauge to depress the valve pin. Repeat step 3 to make sure you have not over or under-inflated the tire.
  5. Replace the cap on the air valve and you are on your way!

    If you find your nitrogen-filled tire flat, dont worry. In a pinch, you can temporarily use compressed air until you can reach your normal nitrogen supplier.
